The Institute is built upon the ongoing research to develop new Information Assurance technologies in both networks and systems, and in both architecture and software. The ability to build on existing funded projects, and the relationship Northeastern has already established with NSA places the Institute in a unique position.

The Institute is organized around three thrusts:

  • Database and Information Mining
  • Software and Architecture Security
